Transporting the Food Donation for Feeding Hong Kong
After the exhibition, Asia Fruit Logistica, at Asia World Expo close on 7 Sep, over 5 tonnes of fresh fruits and vegetable are donated from the exhibitors. Asian Tigers Hong Kong is proud to assist FeedingHK once again to transport a truck of fruit and vegetable donation from the exhibition to FeedingHK’s warehouse in Yau Tong. The donation is eventually collected and distributed to feed people in need, instead of going to landfills.
Since 2017, we have collaborated with the Feeding Hong Kong, which is a charitable B2B foodbank in Hong Kong with a mission of bridging the gap between food waste and food insecurity in Hong Kong. They are now collecting over 500 tons of food items from over 200 companies and redistribute to 79 charitable organizations across the city. Asian Tigers is glad to get involved by offering a helping hand to help the hungry.
